privacy
Privacy. I’m a big fan. So I promise to use your personal bits ethically and keep them secure.
What data I collect about you and how I use it.
If you’re kind enough to contact me through this website, I’ll collect your name, organisation and contact email/phone number. If we end up working together, at some point I’ll need a few more details, like your business address for invoicing purposes.
Potentially, you might share personal information with me on Facebook, Twitter or LinkedIn (which are all required to comply with European data regulations - GDPR).
I don’t store any of your files or messages on my computer - everything is saved in Google Drive and Gmail (both of which are also required to comply).
Under UK tax law I need to keep your basic personal data (name, address, contact details) for six years, after which time I’ll destroy it.
My website (hosted by Squarespace - again, required to comply) collects cookies (strings of information stored as text files) to tell me how people are using my site, so I can make it better. Cookies don’t give me any personal information about you. You can disable cookies using your web browser settings if you want to.
I don’t have an email list, so giving me your email address won’t mean weekly emails about how to use semicolons.
I’ll only use your personal information to get in touch with you about your projects (and send you a thank you card if you're nice). I won’t share it or sell it.
If you’d like to know more, you’d like a copy of your personal information, or you’d like me to delete any trace of you, please get in touch.
Thanks for reading and have a GDPR-compliant day.
